If little ones are still crying after parents have tried feeding, burping, bathing, changing diapers, walking, talking, singing, massaging and even mimicking the setting and sounds of mother's womb, it becomes painfully obvious that something more is needed.
Perhaps a good place to start is to consider that to an infant, they were just forcibly ejected from the only life they've ever known: the inner peace and solace of their mother's womb. Here, the child was the sole occupant and they were enclosed with elements their minds and spirits could easily comprehend.
As a result of birth, they're now thrust into a world with more than six billion people, never-ending space, and constant change. Sometimes because of the pressures and responsibilities of life, parents lose sight of the fact this has to be a terribly scary situation for newborns and if they slowed down long enough to connect with this fear, it would help infants feel more secure about their new homes.
